Single-cylinder air-cooled diesel engine is favored by the majority of users because of its light weight, small volume, simple structure and convenient maintenance, and is widely used in the supporting power of small agricultural machinery. However, compared with the water-cooled diesel engine, it is particularly "delicate". If it is used improperly, the failure frequency is high and the reliability is low.
(1) The structural difference between single-cylinder air-cooled diesel engine and water-cooled diesel engine, single-cylinder air-cooled diesel engine and water-cooled diesel engine in terms of its structure and principle, valve mechanism, crank connecting rod mechanism, fuel supply system and intake and exhaust system are much the same, mainly the following two systems are different:
① The cooling system has different cooling modes.
The water-cooled diesel engine uses the circulating water to take away the heat of the diesel engine to achieve the purpose of heat dissipation, while the single-cylinder air-cooled diesel engine relies on the strong airflow blown out by the fan to flow rapidly along the heat sink, so as to reduce the high temperature of the body. Many aluminum alloy heat sinks are cast on the cylinder block and cylinder head.
②The lubrication system has different lubrication modes.
Water-cooled diesel engines use comprehensive lubrication, namely pressure lubrication and non-pressure lubrication, organic oil pump, and single-cylinder air-cooled diesel engines mostly do not use no pressure lubrication.
(2) The use of single-cylinder air-cooled diesel engine matters needing attention. Because the cooling and lubrication modes of single-cylinder air-cooled diesel engine and water-cooled diesel engine are different, the heat dissipation, lubrication and cooling effect are poor. Therefore, it must be used in strict accordance with the operation procedures.
